River Park Counseling was founded by Melissa Rowell, LMHC in 2017. River Park Counseling is a faith based professional counseling center that specializes in working with adults, couples, teens, and children. We enjoy assisting clients as they overcome barriers that may be hindering their personal growth, intimacy, and purpose in life. Whether it be related to relationship distress, parenting issues, divorce, abuse, grief, stage of life transitions, depression, or anxiety, There is hope available. You are not alone.

We believe in utilizing an integrative approach where techniques are based both in empirical research and biblical principles.

In sessions we focus on helping clients identify negative thinking patterns, learn coping skills, communication skills, and form strong attachments with each other. We utilize elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Attachment Theory.
